POINT MUTATION IS..... the miscopying of just ONE or a small number of nucleotides. How would this affect the protein produced?

Actually thinhk of point mutation as the changing of a letter in a word. It way well still be acceptable, but the meaning will probably be different.
If the change is in a protein which plays an important role in many different types of cells, the effect can be fatal.
