Hello =) I'm back from Kedah. As most of you might've not known, i was in Penang+Kedah for the weekend. Took a flight to Penang with mom and bro and met up with my dad over there. We stayed at Hotel Royal Penang. Considered not bad. Food in Penang was bloody disappointing. Skipped Gurney Drive entirely this time, even than... food was still very disapointing. We got lost twice. lol. Driving in Penang is just ... a pain. I think walking around like what we (amy,wy,trisha and the gang) did last year, was the best way to see Penang. You would really than get a feel of the place =)
After two nights in penang, we drove down to Alor Setar where my dad lives. Stayed at StarCity Hotel. It's pretty new. Not bad. Dad gave us the full length tour of Alor Setar. Not a bad place actually.simple, not so noisy and the people are really friend compared to KL people. Seriously, it makes us looks like we all hve a serious attitude problem.
FOOD IN ALOR SETAR WAS AWESOME. THE THAI FOOD WAS BLOOOODY AWESOME. aaahhhh. i wanna go back there for more =( it was really really really sedap hingga menjilat jari! (that's if u used ur hands to eat -__-) The 2nd day, we took a drive up to the thai border. than back down, went to Jithra, had lunch. after lunch, dad took us on one helluva ride through the paddy fields. mind u, my dad drives a four wheel drive, and the paddy field pathways are SO narrow. hahaha. and bumpy, and had alot of holes. it was.. definitely bumpy, but such a fun ride! :D
I loved my Merdeka weekend =)
